Although there are no coral reefs to dive off the coast of Sarasota and Manatee, there is still some ledge, wreck and artificial reef diving in the area. There are also scuba diving clubs to join who arrange dive trips and hold social events for divers throughout the year.

Suncoast Reef
Rovers meets in the south part of the county in Nokomis.
Lakewood Ranch Dive Club meets the First Wednesday of every
month at 7PM at Lakewood Ranch Town Hall.
